Supporting Manchester Pride this August

August 20, 2015 by The Co-operative Food

For the 5th consecutive year, Co-operative Food are proud to sponsor Manchester Pride.

Taking place in Manchester’s world famous Gay Village during the 28th-31st August, we are helping to celebrate 25 years of charity fundraising events, supporting LGBT life in Manchester*

We’ll be taking part in Saturday’s ‘Devotion’ parade with our very own float and we’ll also be handing out free giveaways during the festival, so keep your eye out for us!

The Co-operative was founded on principles of fairness and equality, so we’re delighted to rank 26th in Stonewall Top 100 Employers 2015, the definitive list of Britain’s most gay-friendly workplaces; the only retailer to feature in the Top 100!

Our LGBT network, Respect, is the largest network in the UK, with over 9,000 Friends of Respect.

So far we’ve supported over 80 LGBT events since 2010 including Manchester Pride, Sparkle, Student Pride, Glasgow Pride, Cardiff Mardis Gras, Brighton Pride and many more. Supporting the diverse communities we serve is ingrained in everything we do.
