Our award winning rack of lamb

We have been delighted with our rack of lamb, with its caramelised onion, cheese mustard and thyme crust, ever since it first went into our stores, but now we like it even more!

The dish has just won Best Lamb Product Award at the biggest meat awards event in the country – the 2012 SuperMeat and Fish Awards. The judges there described it as being “well butchered” with “moist meat and a crunchy crust, delivering bags of flavour”. Well, we couldn’t have put it better ourselves.

The rack of lamb is one of the great dishes on offer in our excellent eat in range. We’ve designed each dish to be of the best quality so that you can enjoy them as a family treat, or feel confident to serve them for a dinner party.

And that wasn’t all we won!

If you love pasta, and let’s face it, who doesn’t, then you really should try our Italian Polpette Meatballs. They’re made with tender pork and beef, with a just hint of herbs and seasoning. They’re easy to cook with a tomato sauce and they make a pasta dish to be proud of, that’s loved by children and grown ups too.

The judges said they have “excellent appearance, texture and taste” but what’s more they are part of our value range. The meatballs won best prize in the value category at the awards.
